Udo, a true Bremen northerner, used to say with a mischievous smile on his face ….
…. they never come!”
But this time they did. And just as the Transylvanians like to do – they came all at once. They arrived in the beautiful Oberneuland district of Bremen on August 8, 2014 to celebrate the wedding of Udo and his Renate, née Knäb, on August 9. Udo, who has been an enthusiastic seven-citizen by choice for many years, had informed himself in detail about the customs in faraway Großau. Also about the wedding customs. The surprise was perfect when, after the wedding ceremony, the bridal couple were given a rope and presented with a certificate of naturalization.

Udo has fulfilled the Transylvanian statutory requirements in recent years and will be married on August 9, 2014.
with Renate Knäb,
into the community of the Großau and Transylvanian Saxons.
He acquires all rights and undertakes to fulfill all obligations arising from this community: to stand together in joy and sorrow and to cultivate the traditions of the Transylvanian Saxons and to work towards their preservation.
The Heimatsortgemeischaft Grossau e.V. and the “Grossauer Freunde” warmly welcome their member and wish her happy hours in this community. Help God!

Now the seven-citizen by choice has become a seven-citizen by obligation.

They were wonderful days! Many, many thanks!
For all relatives, friends and acquaintances
