About us

Organization of the HOG

The HOG Großau is managed by a board of directors that currently consists of 13 members. The Board of Directors was elected in September 2020 and will remain in place until September 2024.

Our mission

We are committed to preserving the cultural and ecclesiastical heritage of Großau, strengthening the community of displaced persons and their descendants, and promoting the lively connection to the Protestant parish of Großau through commitment, membership and events.

Our vision

We dream of a vibrant community in which the spiritual, cultural and historical heritage of Großau is preserved, passed on and actively shaped – across generations and borders.

Our history

Großau was founded by Transylvanian Saxons in the 13th century and was a strong Protestant community for a long time. After the emigration of many members, their heritage is being preserved today by dedicated descendants.
