the story

The way

The “Großauer Blatt” is published by the board of the “Heimatortsgemeinschaft Großau e.V.”. In its basic function, it fulfills the role of an annual report on events and happenings relevant to the local community. A very important part of this is the cent-by-cent accounting of all income and expenditure of our association, which is recognized as a non-profit organization. The annual publication of the audited annual financial statement report for all members forms the most important basis for the transparent, trustworthy work of the HOG Board. The “Großauer Blatt” is sent to all HOG members free of charge. It is equally important to keep our spiritual and cultural heritage, which is now many centuries old, alive for us and our children. We, the generation of experience, with our knowledge of customs and traditions, with our almost infinite treasure trove of wonderful memories, but also less good experiences and painful experiences, have a particularly responsible task. That is why the “Großauer Blatt”, with its content on the history of our home town and our Großau community over the past decades and centuries, is also intended for the next and later generations. It is intended to provide our interested descendants with additional information on the history, social life and also the local religious and cultural life of their ancestors when the generation that experienced the resettlement is no longer available.

The HOG board is constantly striving to improve the form and content of our Großauer Heimatblatt.
